Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is expanding its Fashion & Apparel operations with a new automated distribution site in Burnley.

We are seeking Engineering Assistants to join the team and help operate and maintain automated warehouse equipment in a fast-paced environment. The role is full-time with a 4 on 4 off 12-hour shift pattern, offering a salary up to £28,000 per annum plus pension, private medical/dental insurance, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ L1 in mechanical engineering; L2 desirable.
• Experience in a similar environment.
• Hands-on approach with problem-solving.
• Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Attention to detail and high standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the Engineering team with day-to-day operation and maintenance of automated warehouse equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues and assist fault identification and resolution.
• Carry out routine inspections, checks and preventative maintenance.
• Promote safe working practices and maintain high standards of Health & Safety.
