Job summary

Proactive Global in the Nottingham area is seeking an Engineering Technician to support automated systems, perform preventative maintenance and resolve faults. The role focuses on maintaining reliability and working with the engineering team to minimise downtime, while delivering frontline customer support where needed.

The ideal candidate has experience in machinery/electrical maintenance, familiarity with automation environments, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in machinery maintenance or automation environment.
• Level 2 Engineering qualification or equivalent automation experience.
• Fault finding and problem solving experience.
• Ability to work at height and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to reactive faults and carry out preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose, investigate and rectify equipment faults where possible.
• Escalate unresolved or complex issues to the appropriate engineering team.
• Maintain automated warehouse systems and monitor performance.
• Identify repeated faults and communicate findings to management.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability of equipment.
