Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Medway production engineering team. You will own production projects, drive lean improvements, and implement automation across the factory floor, supporting NPIs and new product introductions.

The ideal candidate has an Electrical/Electronics background, strong electronics knowledge, and a proactive, team-driven approach to improve productivity and reduce waste.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• Experience in engineering or production environment.
• Strong understanding of electronics to component level.
• Good computer literacy and knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical approach to problem solving.
• Ability to take ownership and work proactively.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.
• Self-starter with the ability and enthusiasm to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting NPIs and pre-production activities.
• Implementing new manufacturing processes on the factory floor.
• Supporting technicians with fault diagnosis and repair of production equipment.
• Updating controlled drawings and technical documentation.
• Introducing LEAN improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Coordinating planned maintenance and repairs with external contractors.
• Carrying out calibration activities on production equipment and maintaining accurate records.
• Training production staff on new or updated processes and equipment.
• Designing and installing new production cells and fixtures.
• Developing automation solutions and production equipment.
• Reviewing and approving concessions.
