Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Contract Manufacturing Engineer in the UK to support the industrialisation and scaling up of new products. You will work with engineering and R&D to introduce processes, develop work instructions, and optimise line layouts for efficient production.

The role emphasises lean manufacturing, DFM, and NPI, with hands-on execution and strong communication. A fast-paced mechanical assembly environment is preferred, delivering capex-aware tooling solutions.

Qualifications

• HNC/D qualified with evidence of manufacturing experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced mechanical assembly and fabrication environment.
• Strong knowledge of design for manufacture (DFM) and NPI processes.
• Hands-on and proactive with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support smooth introduction of new products and processes (Process development).
• Write and maintain Work Instructions and BoM's.
• Devising line and production layouts to maximise efficiency and flow.
• Apply lean methods to identify and implement modern manufacturing processes.
• Identify Capex needs for equipment and tooling.
