Job summary

Innovate Recruitment Ltd is seeking experienced Installation & Commissioning Engineers for contract work across the UK, based in Sunderland. You will install, test and commission automated material handling and manufacturing systems, both mechanically and electrically, reading drawings and schematics as you work.

The role involves site testing, fault-finding and project handover, with UK-wide travel and occasional overnight stays. A full UK driving licence and flexible travel are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in intralogistics, automation, manufacturing or industrial installation/commissioning.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering skills.
• Experience with conveyors, automated systems, machinery or production equipment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Flexible to travel and work away when required.

Responsibilities

• Install, test and commission automated material handling and manufacturing systems.
• Carry out mechanical and/or electrical installation of conveyors, sortation, automation and related equipment.
• Perform system testing, fault finding and commissioning.
• Work from engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
• Support site acceptance testing and project handover.
• Work safely and professionally on customer sites.
• Travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays.
