Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in Sudbury, UK, is seeking an Automation Engineer to join the Point of Care Diagnostics team. You will maintain and develop the site's automation, controls and OT capabilities, providing onsite technical ownership for PLC, SCADA, servers, remote access and equipment connectivity.

Collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, IT and external suppliers, you will drive data-driven decisions, improve efficiency, cybersecurity and reliability while delivering

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI development, Power Platform and SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of automation systems including networking, robotics, vision and data capture.
• Experience supporting OT cybersecurity and remote access governance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the site’s automation, controls and OT capability.
• Own onsite PLC, SCADA, server, remote-access and equipment-connectivity systems.
• Develop equipment connectivity for real-time data analysis and process control.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, QA, Engineering, IT and suppliers to improve efficiency, cybersecurity and reliability.
