Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to carry out planned and reactive maintenance on automated warehouse equipment in the UK.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, conduct root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions to keep operations running smoothly on the Panama night shift. The role requires safety-focused, proactive problem solving and experience in fast-paced environments, with NVQ Level 3 / ONC or equivalent in engineering.

Qualifications

• Strong fault-finding abilities in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience in fast-paced operational or manufacturing environments.
• NVQ Level 3 / ONC or equivalent in engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on automated warehouse equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Complete root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment performance.
• Accurately record maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Work nights on Panama shift pattern (2-2-3 or 2-3-2) from 19:00 to 07:00.

This is a full time, permanent position working in the Panama shift pattern of 2-2-3 or 2-3-2 from 19:00 to 07:00, We're looking to offer a salary of up to £54,000.00 per annum, and 24 days annual leave (including bank holidays).
