Job summary

Experis Austria is seeking a Quality Engineer for a 6-month contract in Telford. The role is hybrid with 2 days onsite and involves implementing the COTAX Modernisation Test Strategy within the QA team.

You will design and automate test solutions, apply TDD/BDD, and ensure QA across CI/CD, contributing to automation-first testing and risk-based approaches while supporting manual testing where needed.

Qualifications

• Designing and implementing test solutions and the automation to support these.
• Applying structured testing and automation approaches, utilising technologies aligned with TDD/BDD.
• Bringing experience of testing within the CI/CD lifecycle and automation testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of databases and test data creation.
• Responsible for the quality of the testing collateral.
• Broad knowledge of test levels across Unit, System, Functional and Integration and NFR testing.
• T-shaped and able to operate across the product stack, including development involvement.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing test solutions and automation to support these.
• Applying test approaches and risk-based testing methodologies.
• Upskilling the engineering team to increase QA capability.
• Implementing test design techniques and strong test analysis.
• Ensure testing collateral quality and test data management.
