Job summary

Pirelli UK Tyres Ltd – Carlisle is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to support a state-of-the-art automation project in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. The role focuses on PLC‑controlled equipment, Servo drives and AC/DC motor systems, with strong emphasis on problem solving, safety, and quality maintenance.

The successful candidate will work across 08:00–16:00, with flexibility for 3‑shift rotation and weekends.

Qualifications

• Time served electrical engineer with appropriate technical qualifications.
• 17th/18th Edition qualification would be preferred.
• Experience with PLC controlled machinery in high volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain electrical systems, equipment and components.
• Fault finding of automated electrical systems using PLC diagnostics.
• Carry out electrical installation duties as required.
• Attend training and development activities and mentor apprentices.
• Ensure safety norms and regulations are followed.
