Job summary

Additional Resources Ltd in Saltash is seeking a Control Systems Engineer / Automation Engineer to design, develop and commission PLC-based control systems for advanced machinery. This full-time role involves supporting automated machinery from concept through to installation and customer handover, with travel within the UK and internationally when required.

This role offers a salary range of £35,000 - £50,000 and a benefits package.

Qualifications

Commercial or industrial experience in control systems, automation, electrical/electronic engineering or a related discipline.
Background with PLC-based control systems.
Experience with industrial automation and machinery control.
Experience developing, modifying, testing or troubleshooting control software.
Good technical knowledge of electrical and electronic control systems.

Responsibilities

Designing control systems and developing, programming and testing PLC software.
Preparing system concepts, software specifications and supporting electrical and electronic integration.
Researching technologies to improve machinery and manufacturing processes.
Supporting projects from feasibility and design through to build, testing and commissioning.
Troubleshooting, fault-finding and optimising control and automated systems.
Commissioning equipment at UK and international sites and providing customer training and technical support.
Supporting sales enquiries and quotations, maintaining technical documentation, and keeping up to date with industry developments.
Perform other duties as required.
