Osprey Engineering Solutions Ltd in Milton Keynes is seeking an Industrial Automation and Control Engineer to provide expert technical support for electrical and automation products across Europe. The role combines PLC set-up and programming, customer application support, product testing and technical training, with a clear development path within a global team.

The position involves occasional travel within Europe and a permanent, full-time role at our European Technical Centre in Milton

Qualificações

• Degree or HND in Electrical, Electronic, Software or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of PLCs and Ladder or Structured Text programming.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including technical report writing.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe.
• Experience with PLC engineering tools such as TIA Portal, TwinCAT or Studio 5000.
• Experience with industrial protocols such as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, OPC UA or IO-Link.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and program PLCs to support the company's electrical products and customer applications.
• Answer technical queries from European subsidiaries and their customers.
• Investigate faults on electrical components and industrial communication networks.
• Support integration using protocols such as PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, OPC UA and IO-Link.
• Carry out investigations and tests to evaluate the company's products.
• Write detailed technical reports, operation manuals and technical guides.
• Design and deliver training courses and presentations to European subsidiaries.
• Travel occasionally abroad to support customers, attend meetings and research market trends at exhibitions.
