Job summary

Sheffield City Council seeks an Information Systems leader to head the Automation and AI Team. The role drives automation strategy, prioritises projects and coordinates developers, specialists and suppliers for governance-aligned Power Platform and AI initiatives.

You will oversee governance, security and responsible AI, ensuring scalable, accessible solutions that meet design and security requirements. Experience delivering complex digital projects is essential.

Qualifications

Establishing governance, standards, security controls and best practice across Power Platform and AI solutions.
Delivering complex digital, automation and AI projects on time, within budget and to business outcomes.
Managing operational support, service performance, risk, supplier relationships and continuous improvement for business-critical solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead strategic planning, prioritisation and delivery of automation and AI initiatives across projects, support and improvement work.
Design, develop, support and improve Power Platform solutions, automated workflows, digital services and AI-enabled services.
Give expert advice on automation technologies, governance and service improvement.
