Job summary

Sheffield City Council is modernising its digital services, delivering automation and AI-enabled capabilities to streamline processes for residents and staff. The Information Systems Specialist leads design, development and governance of Power Platform solutions and related technologies, collaborating with suppliers and business stakeholders.

The role focuses on reliable, scalable and secure automation, driving continuous improvement while aligning with information governance and policy

Qualifications

Specialist development skills in Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Copilot Studio.
Strong understanding of business process analysis and automation using low-code and AI technologies.
Experience integrating systems using APIs, connectors, Microsoft 365 services, SharePoint and external applications.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, support and improve Power Platform solutions, automated workflows, digital services and AI-enabled service.
Provide expert advice on automation technologies, systems integration, governance and service improvement.
Ensure solutions are reliable, scalable, secure and compliant with governance and design requirements.
Lead complex technical investigations, mentor colleagues and support project delivery ensuring security and accessibility.
Contribute to testing, quality assurance and continuous improvement across the team.
