Job summary

The Digital Development Engineer role targets graduates or early‑career developers with an interest in software, automation, and applied AI.

You will work with developers, engineers, and design assurance colleagues to turn practical business needs into reliable digital solutions, while learning and growing within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
• Graduate or early‑career software developer in a relevant discipline, or able to demonstrate equivalent practical experience.
• Basic knowledge of databases (e.g. SQL, PostgreSQL).
• Basic understanding of software development fundamentals including cyber security best practices.
• Interest in automation, problem‑solving, and improving workflows.
• Willingness to learn domain‑specific systems (e.g. engineering / CAD tools).

Responsibilities

• Assist in building, improving, and maintaining internal automation tools used by engineering and business support teams.
• Contribute to software solutions that streamline CAD workflows.
• Support the integration of AI capabilities into existing internal systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code.
• Assist with testing, deployment, and ongoing improvements of internal tools.
• Learn and follow established development patterns and standards.
• Keep up to date with modern software development practices and technologies.
