Job summary

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join a busy manufacturing site in the Chesterfield area. The role requires operating automated production and assembly machinery, setting up machines, changing over and adjusting, and monitoring quality and output.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in automated machine operation and manufacturing, with fault finding and basic maintenance skills. A Full UK driving licence and own transport are essential.

Machine Operator - Chesterfield

£13.89 per hour | 4 On 4 Off | Days & Nights

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Machine Operator to join a busy, modern manufacturing business based in the Chesterfield area.

This is a long-term opportunity for someone with previous automated production or manufacturing experience, confident operating machinery, carrying out changeovers and identifying mechanical faults.

The Role:

• Operating and monitoring automated production and assembly machinery
• Setting up machines and carrying out changeovers and adjustments
• Monitoring production output and maintaining quality standards
• Carrying out basic mechanical fault finding and first-line maintenance
• Identifying product defects and reporting issues
• Completing production paperwork and maintaining a clean, safe working area

Hours & Pay:

• £13.89 per hour
• 4 on 4 off continental shift pattern
• 2 x 12-hour days (6am - 6pm)
• 2 x 12-hour nights (6pm - 6am)
• 4 days off

What We're Looking For:
