Job summary

Volvo Cars is offering a Service Technician/Mechanic apprenticeship to build core automotive skills. Trainees will learn through a mix of virtual and face-to-face training at the Volvo Training and Development Centre in Daventry, with costs covered (travel, accommodation, meals).

Successful applicants will be mentored during the program, gain Level 2 Autocare Technician certification, and work toward a career path within Volvo Cars’ service network after completion.

Qualifications

• Interest in automotive maintenance and repair.
• Team orientation and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Test parts and systems to ensure correct operation.
• Follow checklists to examine all critical vehicle parts.
• Carry out bumper-to-bumper service and inspections.
• Maintain electronic systems including on-board entertainment.
• Complete legible paperwork for customers and centre records.
• Keep the work environment clean and orderly.
