Job summary

Halfords Group PLC is offering an Autocentre Apprentice role in Colchester, Essex. You will work across a busy workshop, gaining experience in servicing, inspections, diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicles.

The program combines hands-on learning with college study to build practical skills and industry knowledge. You will be trained to diagnose faults, replace parts, and work with diagnostic tools while developing problem-solving and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced automotive

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above (Or Equivalents)
• Interest in cars and solving problems
• Able to use hands and have a strong and fit attitude to work due to the manual work involved
• Knowledge of Microsoft packages

Responsibilities

• Assist in servicing, inspections and repairs across various vehicle models.
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and assist with engine, chassis and electrical repairs.
• Learn to diagnose and repair vehicles to the highest standard under supervision and guidance.
• Collaborate with team to maintain workshop safety and efficiency.
