Job summary

Halfords are offering an Autocentre Apprentice position in Basildon, Essex. You will rotate through servicing, inspections and diagnostic work on various car makes and models, gaining hands-on skills while studying at college as part of a 5-day week.

You will undergo a structured apprenticeship, focusing on safety, vehicle systems, and practical problem solving, with a strong customer service element and team-based operations.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above (Or Equivalents).
• Interest in cars and solving problems.
• Willingness to learn in a hands-on Autocentre environment.

Responsibilities

• Gain knowledge to diagnose and repair vehicles to the highest standard.
• Work with diagnostic methods and equipment on a variety of models.
• Learn workplace safety, engineering skills and vehicle inspection basics.
• Assist with servicing, inspections and routine maintenance tasks.
