Job summary

Halfords Group PLC in Stranraer is offering an Autocentre Apprentice role within a busy workshop environment. You will work on servicing, inspections and repairs on various makes and models, using diagnostic methods and equipment to diagnose faults and learn through hands-on training.

The programme includes 5-day weeks with 1 day at college (day release), aiming for 40 hours per week (44 hrs for those over 18). 30 days holiday rising to 33 plus generous benefits are included.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above (Or Equivalents).
• Friendly, team-oriented with strong desire to build a career as an Auto Vehicle Technician.
• Able to use hands and have a strong fit attitude due to manual work involved.

Responsibilities

• Assist with servicing, inspections and repairs across a range of vehicles.
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic methods and equipment.
• Work independently and as part of a team to diagnose and repair vehicles to high standards.
• Learn from college lecturers, colleagues and mentors during the apprenticeship.
