Proftech Talent is seeking an Auto Electrical & Telematics Engineer to join a growing business in the video telematics and vehicle tracking industry. You will install and maintain fleet telematics, CCTV systems, and diagnostics across a range of fleet customers.

This hands-on role requires strong automotive electrical skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to travel between client sites while delivering high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Strong automotive electrical background with hands-on field experience.
• Ability to install and maintain vehicle tracking/telematics hardware.
• Excellent customer service and communication with non-technical clients.

Responsibilities

• Installing vehicle tracking equipment and telematics systems.
• Fitting multi-channel CCTV systems for new client contracts.
• Visiting existing clients to diagnose and maintain fleet equipment.
• Liaising with office-based personnel regarding scheduled jobs.
• Ensuring information is logged and jobs completed timely.
• Providing a professional, polite and efficient service to all clients.
• Completing paperwork and keeping records up to date.

We are recruiting for an Auto Electrical & Telematics Engineer to join our client, a growing business working within the fast-moving video telematics and vehicle tracking industry. Their technology helps businesses improve driver safety, protect vehicles and assets, reduce operating costs and increase operational efficiency.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong automotive and electrical background who enjoys working hands-on and getting to grips with new technology. You'll be working directly with clients, installing and maintaining vehicle tracking and telematics equipment and helping to deliver a high-quality service across a range of fleet customers.

As an Auto Electrical & Telematics Engineer you will need to have/be:

• Good technical understanding of automotive repair, electrical engineering and auto mechanics
• Strong hands-on field experience in a similar role
• Interest in the automotive sector and developing technologies
• Good customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical clients
• IT literate with good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail with good planning and organisational skills
• Positive attitude with a commitment to achieving results and maintaining high-quality standards
• Ability to work independently, manage your own diary and territory
