Job summary

GTS Group Ltd. is seeking an Auto Electrical Field Service Engineer to cover Oxford and surrounding Oxfordshire areas. You will install, service and fault-find vehicle CCTV/telematics systems on buses, coaches and commercial fleets while travelling to customer sites.

The role offers a 4 nights on / 4 nights off schedule with a competitive salary and overtime opportunities. You will work independently with support from a technical team, in a mobile field-based position across Oxfordshire.

Qualifications

• Experience in auto electrical fault-finding is essential.
• Experience on buses, coaches, HGVs or commercial vehicles is required.
• Knowledge of vehicle CCTV and/or telematics systems is preferred.
• Experience with DVRs, cameras, routers and mobile connectivity is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and maintain vehicle CCTV and telematics systems.
• Fault-find and repair auto electrical systems on mobile fleets.
• Install and configure CCTV cameras, DVRs and onboard equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults on buses, coaches and commercial vehicles.
• Program and commission onboard vehicle technology and ensure connectivity.

Auto Electrician / Vehicle CCTV & Telematics Field Service Engineer – Oxfordshire

4 Nights On / 4 Nights Off – 10 Hour Shifts

Are you an experienced Auto Electrician, Vehicle CCTV Engineer or Telematics Engineer looking for a field-based engineering role across Oxford and the surrounding Oxfordshire area?

GTS Group are recruiting for a growing vehicle technology and transport safety specialist looking to add an experienced Auto Electrical Field Service Engineer to its team.

You’ll work across buses, coaches and commercial vehicle fleets, carrying out the installation, servicing, maintenance and fault-finding of vehicle CCTV, telematics and auto electrical systems.

The Role

As an Auto Electrical Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:

• Installing, servicing and maintaining vehicle CCTV and telematics systems
• Fault-finding and repairing auto electrical systems
• Installing and configuring CCTV cameras, DVRs, routers and onboard equipment
• Diagnosing electrical and technology faults on buses, coaches and commercial vehicles
• Programming and commissioning onboard vehicle technology
• Working with 4G, WiFi and vehicle connectivity systems
• Completing digital service reports and job documentation
• Travelling to customer and fleet sites throughout Oxford, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas
• Working independently with support from an experienced technical team

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to hear from engineers with experience as an:

Auto Electrician | Vehicle CCTV Engineer | Telematics Engineer | Bus Electrician | Coach Electrician | Field Service Engineer | Vehicle Electrical Engineer | Mobile CCTV Engineer

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Strong auto electrical fault-finding experience
• Experience working on buses, coaches, HGVs or commercial vehicles
• Knowledge of vehicle CCTV and/or telematics systems
• Experience with DVRs, cameras, routers and mobile connectivity
• Good IT and equipment configuration skills
• Experience with Timespace vehicle CCTV equipment would be advantageous
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently in a mobile field-based position
