Job summary

Independent Lives is looking for a Workplace Support Worker in Chichester to provide practical and emotional support for a 21-year-old woman. The role includes travel to her workplace, on-site support when required, and helping to improve wellbeing and confidence through patient, empathetic assistance.

The position is part-time and on-site, with a 3-day 11am–2pm window and a £12.71 hourly rate. Applicants must have right to work in the UK and be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• Experience with Autism, mental health and selective mutism essential.
• Right to work in the UK and DBS check may be required.
• Role may be employed or self-employed; DBS cost borne by you.
• Driving licence and own vehicle preferred for travel to work.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to assist the daughter at work.
• Travel to and from the workplace and assist with attendance.
• Build a trusting relationship and offer encouragement and advice.
• Maintain privacy, confidentiality, and high standards of health and safety.
• Be reliable with good timekeeping and able to follow instructions.
