Job summary

Autism Anglia in Colchester seeks part-time Support Workers to help autistic adults and those with learning disabilities achieve personal goals in a safe, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Support Worker or in a related role.
• Experience working with autistic individuals.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Experience in intensive behavioural support.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate activities locally.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred, outcome-focused support to autistic adults and those with learning disabilities.
• Assist individuals in activities including sport, leisure, cultural and recreational events.
• Support communication, sensory support, or psychological monitoring and interventions.
• Drive mobility vehicles (full UK manual licence required).
• Ensure support plans, risk assessments, and documentation are accurate and up-to-date.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and respond promptly to concerns.
