Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is recruiting Behaviour Support Workers/Teaching Assistants for a Secondary Special Needs School in Batley. Roles are full-time, temporary to permanent, starting ASAP, with hours 8:30–3:30, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

Experience working with children with special needs and challenging behaviours.
Knowledge of special education practices and communication with parents.
Ability to adapt and support individuals in 1:1 or small groups.

Responsibilities

Assist lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities.
Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism.
Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Help students with daily tasks, such as personal care and hygiene.
Support students in their academic and social development.
Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher.
Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.
