Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated SEND Support professional in Lancashire to help pupils overcome barriers to learning. The role is full-time, term-time only, and involves working within a SEND Support Team to implement targeted strategies.

You will collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to support students’ emotional and educational needs. With a focus on emotional and sensory regulation, you will contribute to a safe, supportive classroom environment and help pupils achieve their true

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND or in similar settings.
• Experience handling challenging behaviours and implementing strategies.
• Empathetic, patient, and proactive approach.
• Available to work Monday to Friday, 08:30–15:30, term-time only.

Responsibilities

• Support children with emotional and sensory regulation needs.
• Work with pupils who exhibit challenging behaviours and help develop strategies to support their development.
• Assist in creating and implementing learning activities and strategies.

• Have experience working with children, ideally in a similar role or setting (psychology graduates highly encouraged to apply).
• Possess resilience, patience, and a proactive attitude.
• Be able to support with emotional and sensory regulation.
• Have a flexible approach and strong teamwork skills.
• Be able to work Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30, term-time only.
