Job summary

Baston House School in Bromley, Kent, is seeking an Autism Practitioner to support students with autism in a safe, structured learning environment. You will work with teachers and the multi-professional team to provide personalised support, encourage independence, and help students reach their potential.

The role is permanent, term-time only, 37.5 hours per week, 8:30am-4:30pm, with a salary of £24,675 per annum. UK applicants only; DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths at minimum Level 4.
• Experience working with pupils with autism.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Adaptable, patient and proactive, committed to helping pupils reach their potential.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering inclusive education for students with autism.
• Assist in implementing school policies and individual education plans.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help students access the curriculum.
• Promote physical, academic, social and moral development.
• Organise engaging classroom environments and displays.
• Assist with preparation and upkeep of BSPs, IEPs, Communication Profiles and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure student safety on and off-site.
