Job summary

UKCIL Ltd. in Leeds LS9 is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a 19-year-old young man with autism. 8 hours per week, afternoons, with a rate of £12.21 per hour. Training provided and funded through Direct Payments. You will work directly for the family to help Reece participate in activities and build independence.

The role requires a kind, patient, and reliable person who can calmly communicate and encourage confidence while ensuring safety and privacy at all times.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be willing to obtain a DBS check.
• Experience or understanding of autism preferred.
• Calm communicator who encourages confidence.
• Respectful of privacy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support Reece with social and community activities (e.g. walks, shops, local events).
• Encourage communication and confidence while out and about.
• Provide calm reassurance and positive interaction.
• Ensure Reece's safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Promote independence while offering gentle support.
