Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Bury, Greater Manchester, for a full-time Autism Support Assistant to join their supportive team. You may work on a 1:1 basis or with small groups of up to four children, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs.

The role focuses on helping children access learning, developing life skills, social and emotional development, and building positive relationships with pupils, families, and staff.

Qualifications

  • Strong communicator who can build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.

  • Promoting independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
  • Adapting learning activities to suit individual learning styles.
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff and families.
  • Creating a calm, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
