Job summary

Justteachers Ltd. is seeking a dedicated role within a specialist provision in Bourne to support children and young people with Autism and diverse SEND needs.

The role runs full-time from September to at least December 2026, offering opportunities to contribute to sensory-led, play-based development. Experience in SEND, understanding of sensory needs, and qualifications such as Level 2 Teaching Assistant are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND in schools or specialist settings.
• Understanding sensory needs and development delays and applying calm, child-centered approaches.
• Knowledge of interactive, hands-on, play-based support strategies including visuals.
• Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 Teaching Assistant, Health & Social Care, Childcare, Youth Work.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of adapted, play-based and sensory-led activities with class teams.
• Use nurturing, structured approaches to promote engagement.
• Include visual communication tools, sensory resources, modelling interactions.
• Support pupils to access activities at their own pace.
• Help pupils re-engage through gentle redirection and routines.
