Job summary

Hanson Recruitment Ltd in Bristol is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant with autism experience for schools across the South-West.

Role can be part-time or full-time during school hours, term-time only, with pay £90-£100 per day depending on experience and qualifications; a strong SEN background and Level 2/3 TA qualification are preferred.

You will support pupils with ASD, differentiate activities, maintain records, and contribute to development and execution of support plans.

Qualifications

Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent in SEN/Autism/Social Care.
Strong academic or work background in Special Educational Needs.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver learning activities, differentiating for student responses and needs.
Support students with ASD to fulfil academic potential.
Help pupils with ASD participate in school life and build confidence.
Keep records and evaluate progress of identified students.
Assist with development and implementation of support plans.
Prepare students for tasks (e.g., pre-teaching).
Supervise practical tasks.
Conduct structured classroom assessment/observation and feedback.
Assist with physical needs as required under professionals.
Support in meeting needs identified in approved care plans.
