Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to support autistic learners and assist the class teacher in delivering a personalised curriculum. The role involves 1:1 work, small group activities, and ensuring learners' wellbeing within a calm, supportive environment.

Based in a SEN setting that supports primary and secondary students, the position operates Monday to Friday during term time with on-site facilities and parking. Prior SEND experience is welcome but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with learners with SEN is essential or desirable.
• Ability to deliver 1:1 and small group activities under teacher guidance.
• Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the teacher according to planning.
• Work 1:1 with students.
• Provide group and/or individual activities planned by the teacher.
• Work with learners to develop work.
• Support learners' wellbeing within the school structure.
• Monitor and evaluate students' learning under teacher guidance.
• Assist teachers in using management strategies for a focused learning environment.
