Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to work within our Autism Provision, helping pupils with autism to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. You will support children in individual, small-group and class settings, following EHCPs and individual plans with structured approaches to communication, regulation and behaviour.

You will collaborate with class teachers and therapists, deliver consistent tailored support, and contribute to reviews.

Qualifications

Experience of working with children with autism and/or SEND is desirable.
GCSE Maths and English at grade C or equivalent.
Calm, empathetic and patient approach.
Understand routine, consistency and clear communication.
Able to follow guidance and show initiative.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Commitment to inclusive practice and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

Support pupils with autism in individual, small-group and whole-class settings.
Implement support strategies informed by EHCPs and individual plans.
Use structured approaches to support communication, emotional regulation and behaviour.
Create a calm, predictable and supportive learning environment.
Promote independence, confidence and positive relationships.
Observe and record progress and contribute to reviews and planning meetings.
Work closely with families and external professionals where appropriate.
