Job summary

Scottish Autism is seeking dedicated Autism Practitioners to support a young autistic man in a brand-new 2:1 service in Glenrothes, Fife. You will help him engage in sensory activities, develop daily routines, and build independence in a compassionate, creative environment.

The role involves shift work across days, evenings and weekends; a full UK driving licence is beneficial but not essential. PVG and SSSC registrations are required with company support.

• Compassion and calm communication help build trust with the person and their network.
• Willingness to adapt and learn as the service develops across settings.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with the supported person.
• Help the person take part in their chosen activities.
• Continuously develop personalised support plans with the supported person, their support network, and other stakeholders to ensure life goals remain the focus.
• Complete tasks to maintain the home and support with personal care.
