Job summary

Mirus in Newport is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide Positive Behaviour Support and Autism Support in a new 5-bed home. You will help residents achieve goals and maximize independence with person-centred plans, while ensuring dignity and respect in line with professional standards.

You will implement and review plans, assist with daily tasks, and be supported to study towards QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care.

Qualifications

• Willingness to study towards QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care, fully funded by Mirus.
• Experience or understanding of working with people with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and review individual support plans to help people lead fulfilling lives.
• Support with household tasks, shopping, diet, personal care and hygiene.
• Study towards QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care with funding.
• Collaborate with care managers, nurses and therapists to deliver high quality support.
