M. R. Trust is seeking a Bank Autism PBS Practitioner to provide calm, reliable support for an autistic client in Bristol. You will help manage anxiety during walks and activities, promoting safety, independence and engagement in meaningful community opportunities.

The role includes 4-hour shifts on mornings, on-site work in Fishponds, Bristol, and required collaboration with experienced practitioners. Training and support are provided to advance autism practice.

Formación

• Experience of supporting individuals with autism or learning difficulties.
• Knowledge and understanding of autistic spectrum disability.
• Good team working skills.
• Experience of supporting adults with behaviours of concern, including physically aggressive behaviours.

Responsabilidades

• Listen, understand and support client to gain confidence in articulating thoughts and needs.
• Build a safe, comfortable relationship with the client.
• Support walks in the countryside and community visits on a 2:1 basis.
• Assist with outings preparation and home activities reflecting client interests.
• Collaborate with family, care team and professionals to ensure consistent care.
