Job summary

SENCare Recruitment Ltd is currently collaborating with a special primary school in Canning Town, East London to recruit an Autism Learning Support Worker for an ongoing role. The role supports children aged 4–11 with autism, SEMH and related needs; you will provide personal care, implement ECHPs, and build trusting relationships with vulnerable pupils.

DBS check (update service) is required. Start ASAP; hours are 8.30am–4.30pm, five days a week, term-time style.

Autism Learning Support Worker - Special Primary School - Canning Town, East London

SENCare Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a special primary school that is seeking experienced teaching assistants to support children who have autism, mild and profound needs and SEMH.

Start: ASAP

Duration: 5 days a week - ongoing.

Hours: 8.30am - 4.30pm

The ideal teaching assisant -

• will have at least 6 months experience supporting students with autism, social emotional mental health difficulties, some profound needs.
• experience supporting students aged 4 - 11
• will provide personal care
• able to follow students ECHPs
• experienced with ASD, PMLD, SEMH, trauma, sensory processing, and social communication teaching background
• the ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with vulnerable students
• have a clear DBS registered to the update service - child and adult checked.
