Job summary

Walkwood Church of England Middle School in Worcestershire seeks a Grade 2 Teaching Assistant with Autism expertise to join a supportive school community. You will provide inclusive support to pupils, report on progress and contribute to safeguarding and pastoral care.

The post is permanent, term-time plus 5 INSET days, with Scale 2 in the £24,796–£25,185 pro rata range and 7 hours 10 minutes weekly. Experience with Autism and a commitment to development are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils with Autism or in an Autism Base or mainstream setting.
• Excellent communication with pupils, staff and stakeholders.
• Committed to professional development and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and inclusive support to pupils and staff.
• Assess and report on pupils’ development and attainment.
• Deliver effective pastoral care and understand all pupils' needs.
• Work proactively as part of a team and be flexible.
