Job summary

The Specialist Support role within London Borough of Bexley schools provides targeted advice and support for Autistic Young People in mainstream secondary settings. You will work with groups and individuals, identify progress barriers and implement strategies to promote inclusion and learning outcomes.

You will model good practice for school staff, share effective strategies, and ensure safeguarding with a DBS check.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Autistic Young People.
• LSA/TA certificate or equivalent desirable.
• Enhanced DBS clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and support for Autistic YP in mainstream secondary schools.
• Model activities and share effective practice with school staff.
