Job summary

SJB Medical is recruiting an Occupational Therapist to join a specialist autism education and therapy team at a school, offering NHS Band 5 or Band 6 scale and a permanent contract.

The role is 36.75 hours per week, term-time only with salary paid across 12 months, Monday to Friday 8:30am–5:30pm, working with children aged 4–19 and supporting their sensory, motor and emotional regulation needs within a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration are essential.
• Experience with autism and educational settings is required.
• 1–2 years post-qualification experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sensory integration, postural management, Bobath or related approaches is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and implement occupational therapy interventions.
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions.
• Embed therapy programmes within classroom environments.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff and other therapists.
• Monitor and evaluate therapy outcomes and progress.
