Job summary

Sedgemoor Manor School seeks a versatile and committed individual to support learning across key stages with autistic pupils aged 7–19. You will work alongside teachers and Therapists in small groups (max 6 pupils) to deliver personalised curricula and build strong relationships with pupils.

The role emphasizes resilience, emotional availability, and a commitment to training and career progression within Aspris Children’s Services.

Qualifications

Experience as a Teaching Assistant or carer is beneficial but not essential, with strong communication and a willingness to learn.
Experience supporting children with SLD or complex needs would be an advantage.
Ability to implement individual programmes and support teaching, learning, social and independence activities.
Be emotionally available, resilient and aligned with our values and training pathway.

Responsibilities

Support pupils alongside teachers and Therapists to deliver personalised curriculum packages.
Assist with pupil engagement and learning through building relationships as a trusted adult.
Contribute to effective implementation of individual programmes and activities.
Support the learning environment and progress of children and young people.
