Job summary

City of Glasgow College seeks a dedicated teacher to deliver Supported Education for young people with complex learning needs, including autistic spectrum; you will prepare and deliver lessons, assess progress, and provide guidance.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree or equivalent and recent supported education classroom experience, with prior teaching work. A PVG check is required; fixed-term until June 2027.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree level qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in supported education programmes with young people on the autistic spectrum.
• Recent supported education classroom experience essential.
• Previous teaching experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Supported Education related subjects and main area of teaching for learners with autistic spectrum and complex needs.
• Prepare and deliver lessons; teach students and assess progress.
• Carry out assessment and guidance activity as required.
