Explorer ASD Base at Avenue Primary Academy, part of Cirrus Primary Academy Trust, is hiring a class teacher to work with children with autism in a full-time post. The role involves planning personalised learning, delivering high standards of teaching, and supporting inclusion through tailored lessons and therapeutic activities.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of autism.

Responsibilities

• Teach a class of children with autism within the ASD Base.
• Plan and deliver personalised learning based on individual needs.
• Deliver high standards of teaching and learning.
• Enhance children's learning and development.
• Support access to lessons through inclusive scaffolding.
• Incorporate therapeutic activities woven into lessons and playtimes.
• Work as part of a proactive and dedicated team.
• Apply the Trust's child-centred approach.
