Explorer ASD Base at Avenue Primary Academy, part of Cirrus Primary Academy Trust, is hiring a class teacher to work with children with autism in a full-time post. The role involves planning personalised learning, delivering high standards of teaching, and supporting inclusion through tailored lessons and therapeutic activities.

Job description

Class teacher post in the Explorer ASD Base at Avenue Primary Academy, part of Cirrus Primary Academy Trust. The work is teaching a class of children with autism, raising standards of teaching and learning and planning personalised learning. It is a full-time post in a school recognised as a Centre of Excellence for Inclusion, where therapeutic activities run through lessons and playtimes. Visa sponsorship is not available, and the role must be worked from the UK.

• Support children to access lessons through suitable scaffolding within an inclusive curriculum
• Support therapeutic activities woven into lessons and playtimes, alongside statutory provision in EHCPs
