A highly-regarded primary school in Swindon are searching for an Autism Support Assistant to be employed on an immediate and long-term basis. The ASD child has an EHCP with explicit targets and outcomes and will necessitate a dedicated and caring individual who will understand the specific needs of this child. The primary school are looking for an Autism Support Assistant who is charismatic, empathetic and demonstrates a genuine desire to make a positive impact to children with SEN. Previous experience with working with children with Autism is admirable for this Autism Support Assistant position.
This is a tremendous opportunity for obtaining experience within the Special Needs and Mental Health sector as you will have the chance in your role as an Autism Support Assistant to observe, work-alongside and collaborate with speech and language therapists, educational psychologists, occupational therapists and teachers with SEN specialisms.

The primary school is graded ‘Good’ by OFSTED and has excellent transport links and has on-site parking. The successful Autism Support Assistant will need to be fully committed to the child on a long-term basis. The SEN Teaching Assistant will be working extremely closely with the class teacher and SENCO, therefore being provided with specialist and expert support and training that will be vital for your personal development.
