Job summary

Harvey Nash is assisting a leading UK accounting and business advisory firm to recruit a Senior Audit Consultant in Belfast. You will begin to take ownership of your own portfolio with support from your manager and lead audit fieldwork on-site at client premises.

Youll prepare statutory financial statements from client data, help deliver revenue and profitability targets, and develop enduring client relationships while mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of IFRS or UK GAAP.
• Proven experience auditing clients across a variety of industries.
• Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead the completion of audit fieldwork, typically on-site at client premises.
• Take responsibility for planning and completing audit assignments with thorough documentation.
• Prepare statutory financial statements from client data and highlight high-risk areas for review by Partners/Managers.
• Manage end-to-end execution and finalisation of audit assignments for senior review.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the completion of audit fieldwork, including planned substantive and analytical audit procedures, typically on-site at client premises.
• Take responsibility for the planning and completion of audit assignments, ensuring all files feature appropriate and sufficient documentation.
• Prepare statutory financial statements from client data, applying professional judgment to highlight high-risk areas or concerns for Partner/Manager review.
• Manage the end-to-end execution and finalisation of audit assignments for senior review.

What We Are Looking For

• Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of IFRS OR UK GAAP.
• Industry Experience: Proven experience auditing clients across a variety of industries.
• Leadership: Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring junior team members.
