Job summary

Harvey Nash Group is sourcing a Senior Audit consultant for a hybrid, client-facing role in Belfast. The position involves taking ownership of audit assignments with support from a manager, delivering on profitability targets, and building lasting relationships with clients.

You will conduct on-site fieldwork, plan and complete audits, prepare statutory financial statements, and advise on risk areas while applying professional judgement. ACA/ACCA/CA qualifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience auditing across multiple industries.
• Ability to coach and mentor junior staff.
• Strong understanding of IFRS/UK GAAP framework and standards.

Responsibilities

• Heavily involved in audit fieldwork and analytical procedures on client premises.
• Plan, execute and finalise audit assignments with proper documentation for review by Partners/Managers.
• Prepare statutory financial statements from client data and flag high-risk areas for senior review.
• Develop enduring client relationships and support in achieving revenue targets.

The opportunity:

As a Senior you will have the ability and motivation needed to:

• Begin to take ownership of your own portfolio with support from your manager
• Support in delivering revenue and profitability targets
• Begin to develop enduring client relationships

Day to day duties:

• Heavily involved in the completion of audit fieldwork/planned substantive and analytical audit procedures, normally on site at client premises
• Responsibility for the planning and completion of audit assignments, whilst ensuring audit files have appropriate andsufficientdocumentation
• Prepare statutory financial statements from client data and highlight high level risk areas or matters of concern to the Partner/Manager whilst using a significant degree of your own judgement
• Planning the execution and finalisation of the audit assignments for Partner/Manager review

What are we looking for:

• Working knowledge of IFRS/UKGAAP
• ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent qualified
• Experience of auditing clients within a variety of industries
• Experience coaching and mentoring junior members
