Job summary

Opus Fund Services is seeking an Audit Support Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Audit Support team. You will manage workloads, ensure timely service delivery, coach staff and escalate issues to the SVP while driving process improvements.

You will champion a hybrid working model, with regular in-office collaboration and remote work as appropriate, and you will be responsible for reporting progress against SLAs and staffing needs across multiple locations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years managerial experience.
  • Experience across multiple operational disciplines is a strong asset.
  • Strong knowledge of full financial statement lifecycle.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a heavy workload.
  • Experience managing teams across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily audit query allocation and review timelines to ensure SLAs are met.
  • Resolve issues with the team and escalate to the SVP when needed.
  • Assign new queries and distribute allocations fairly across the team.
  • Review responses to complex queries.
  • Respond to requests via email, Mosaic, phone, or Teams within SLA.
  • Provide concise, transparent weekly reporting on progress toward goals and SLAs.
  • Conduct daily check-ins and weekly 1:1s with direct reports for coaching.
  • Work with HR on employee issues and development plans.
  • Monitor overtime and timesheets for staffing adequacy.
  • Escalate complex issues to the SVP when unresolved.
  • Identify recurring issues and propose solutions.
  • Analyze and deploy process improvements.

About the Role

The Audit Support Manager leads the day-to-day operations of the Audit Support team, ensuring effective workload management, timely service delivery, and high-quality responses. This role provides team leadership, coaching, and escalation support while identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and overall service.

Key Responsibilities
Team Oversight & Work Allocation
  • Monitor daily audit query allocation and review timelines to ensure being met, assessing workload and queues to identify issues where applicable.
  • Work with the team to resolve any issues that arise. Proactively communicate issues to the SVP.
  • Work with the team to assign new queries, distributing allocations fairly across the team.
  • Review responses to complex queries.
  • Respond to requests via email, Mosaic, phone, or Teams within SLA.
  • Provide concise, transparent weekly reporting to demonstrate progress towards key goals and defined internal service level agreements.
People Management & Development
  • Conduct daily check-ins and weekly 1:1s with direct reports for coaching and feedback.
  • Work with HR on employee issues and development plans.
  • Monitor overtime and time sheets to assess accuracy of time posted, appropriateness of time spent, and initial consideration of adequacy of staffing levels.
  • Act as the second escalation point for issues raised within the team.
  • Escalate complex issues to the SVP where you are unable to resolve.
  • Identify recurring issues and work with the SVP to propose solutions.
Improvements
  • Analyze and assess current processes, recommend and deploy efficiencies and improvements.
Key Qualifications & Competencies
  • Minimum of 5 years managerial experience. Experience over more than one operational discipline (e.g. financial reporting, fund accounting, investor relations, portfolio accounting) is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong proven knowledge of full financial statement lifecycle.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a heavy workload during peak periods.
  • Proven experience managing teams across multiple locations.
