Job summary

Lubbock Fine in London is seeking an Audit Supervisor to lead audits from planning through completion for a diverse UK and international client base. You will manage juniors, liaise with clients and Partners, and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

  • ACA qualification with excellent communication skills and client liaison experience.
  • Proven ability to lead audits from planning through completion.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS in SME and corporate contexts.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines and budgets.
  • Experience liaising with stakeholders and presenting to Partners.

Our Audit Team

The audit team currently has 80 staff, ranging from trainee to partner. As a member of the audit team you will be reporting to Directors or Partners, depending on the assignment. The work you undertake will not be limited to just audit, you will have the opportunity to be involved with advisory and corporate finance work, such as due diligence, modelling, restructuring, valuations and non-audit work such as preparation of cashflow forecasts or systems implementation.

Start-up companies are an interesting client area and rapidly growing. We have assisted entrepreneurial businesses to set up their initial company and then helped them with their financial planning as well as finding suitable finance and investors.

Audit Supervisor - Job Specification
  • You will be involved in cutting-edge financial matters across a broad range of activities and clients, including audit and assurance
  • You will be involved with planning, all the way through to completion of audits. Typically leading a team of juniors, as well as acting as the key contact to the client
  • You will be in constant interaction with the team and your audit partner
  • You will receive training and feedback from exceptional practitioners, along with international and advisory exposure with your clients
  • You will have the opportunity to further develop your accounting, financial and business inter‑personal skills, and build your career with the firm
  • You will get the chance to enjoy and participate in a wide range of the firm’s social events and external networking
We would love to hear from you if you have:
  • At least three years’ audit experience, established within a mid‑tier accountancy practice
  • The ACA qualification with excellent communication skills
  • Experience liaising with all relevant stakeholders
  • The ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
  • Excellent IT and presentation skills
  • Good working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
  • A sound working knowledge of audits in the SME market
  • The ability to ensure that all statutory requirements are complied with, and technical knowledge is kept up‑to‑date
  • The ability to ensure that all client deadlines are met and to budget accordingly
  • Working knowledge of Caseware would be an advantage
  • Consideration for the needs and skills of those under supervision, organising tasks and responsibility
  • Enthusiasm, drive and determination, coupled with a 'can‑do' approach to work
  • The desire and ability to develop and grow your career in a forward‑thinking and supportive environment
