Job summary

Nxtgen Recruitment is seeking an Audit Associate for a respected regional accountancy practice in the Norwich area. You will deliver high-quality audit and advisory services across a varied client portfolio, working with managers and senior colleagues to gain ownership of assignments.

The role offers support for ACA/ACCA study, development opportunities, and a flexible, people-focused culture. Travel across East Anglia may be required to service clients.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a UK accountancy practice.
  • Experience auditing clients within a UK practice environment.
  • Experience preparing financial statements and supporting tax computations.
  • Exposure to a range of clients across different sectors.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and develop.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across East Anglia when required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver audit assignments for a varied portfolio of clients.
  • Complete audit fieldwork and testing with minimal supervision.
  • Assist with preparation of statutory and consolidated financial statements under UK GAAP.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and provide exceptional service.
  • Identify opportunities to add value and support clients with wider business needs.
  • Manage own workload to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Support and develop junior team members through coaching and feedback.
  • Work closely with Managers and Partners to deliver successful client outcomes.

The Role

As an Audit Associate, you'll play an important role in delivering high quality audit and advisory services to a broad portfolio of clients across a range of sectors. Working alongside experienced Managers and senior colleagues, you'll gain exposure to every stage of the audit process while taking increasing ownership of your own assignments. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor junior team members, strengthen client relationships and continue building both your technical and commercial expertise.

Your Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering audit assignments for a varied portfolio of clients

About You

You’ll already have experience working within a UK accountancy practice and be looking for a firm where your development is genuinely supported. You'll ideally have:

  • ACA or ACCA part qualified, or AAT Level 4 qualified
  • Experience auditing clients within a UK practice environment
  • Experience preparing financial statements and supporting tax computations
  • Exposure to a range of clients across different sectors
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and develop
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across East Anglia when required
