Job summary

Menzies LLP, Gatwick Office, is seeking an Audit Senior or part Qualified Audit Senior to join our high-performing Audit & Assurance team in Gatwick. You will oversee audits from planning through completion, supervise juniors, and coach their development.

Engagements may be remote or on client sites, using a range of technologies to deliver a quality service on time and on budget. ACA/ACCA progression with 18–24 months’ audit experience is preferred, along with solid UK GAAP knowledge, MS Office

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualification progression with professional/applied skills stage completed.
• 18–24 months’ experience in Audit & Assurance within an accountancy practice, leading external audit assignments.
• Proficient in UK GAAP, strong communication with staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Supervise progress of audit assignments from planning to completion.
• Review work of junior colleagues and coach their development.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will join our growing Audit Team in Gatwick. Reporting directly to an audit Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the progress of audit assignments from planning through to completion. You will also be reviewing the work of junior colleagues as well as coaching and supporting them in their development. Our audit engagements may take place remotely or on client sites, so you will utilise a range of technological solutions in addition to your people skills to deliver a quality service, on time and on budget, working in collaboration with the wider audit team to delight our clients.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

Are you ACA qualified or progressing towards your ACA/ACCA qualification with the professional/applied skills stage completed? We’re looking for a driven professional with at least 18-24 months’ experience in Audit and Assurance within an accountancy practice, including leading external audit assignments from fieldwork to completion under International Standards on Auditing. You should have experience preparing accounts under UK GAAP, be confident using Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and possess strong communication skills for working with senior staff and clients. If you’re motivated, a team player who can also work independently, and committed to delivering high-quality service, we’d love to hear from you! Knowledge of Caseware or Inflo software and Mercia audit methodologies is a bonus but not essential. Candidates must have UK work eligibility without restrictions.
